About Oriedown
The OrieDown project aims to enhance the quality of life and independence of individuals with Down Syndrome of all ages through orienteering sports while addressing key challenges such as reducing the risk of getting lost and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The project will develop four main outputs, reaching over 1900 people:
Adapted Orienteering Maps: User-friendly maps improving spatial awareness and mobility, ensuring safe and confident participation in orienteering.
Educational Orienteering Video Game, a fun and interactive tool reinforcing orienteering skills and environmental awareness, accessible to DS people, families, and educators.
Orienteering Pilots: Hands-on training and local tournaments where people with Down syndrome apply orienteering skills in realworld settings.
Good Practices Guide, a collection of 35 successful cases on inclusive sports for Down syndrome, serving as a resource for
policymakers, educators, and sports professionals.
