Kick-off meeting in Malatya, Türkiye

The meeting was attended by coaches and project coordinators from Spain, the Netherlands, Latvia, Greece, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are project partners. As part of the OrieDown project meeting, adapted orienteering methodologies were introduced to participating coaches through practical demonstrations and training sessions, with the active participation of individuals with Down syndrome.

Throughout the meeting, comprehensive evaluations were also made on the methods and techniques to be used for the Good Practice Guide to be developed within the scope of the project. The presentation of the Minecraft-based digital learning game to be developed for individuals with Down syndrome by ATERMON, one of the project partners, was also shared with the participants.

The OrieDown project aims to support the social, physical, and cognitive development of individuals with Down syndrome through sport and to promote inclusive sports practices.
